Kevin Dutton is a psychologist at Oxford University, with a specialization in psychopathy. He decided to put Adolf Hitler and Donald Trump through the Revised Psychopathic Personality Inventory exam, to see who had more psychopathic traits.
The test analyzes personality traits across eight different categories to determine how much of a psychopath someone is.
Amazingly, the dude who authorized the slaughter of the people of an entire religion and invaded like almost every fucking country on the planet scored lower.
169 to 171 for Trump. From The Influence:
“Some of those traits, such as fearlessness or stress immunity, can be positive,” explained Dutton. “Others, such as blame externalization or being unconcerned about the future, are more likely to be negative…Both great and terrible leaders score higher than the general population for psychopathic traits, but it is the mix of those traits that determines success. For example, someone who scores highly for being influential, fearless and cold-hearted could be a decisive leader who can make dispassionate decisions. If those traits are accompanied by a high score on blaming others, they might be a genocidal demagogue.”
Cool! Luckily, Trump scored much lower than Hitler on Blaming Others: 17 to 28. So that’s … that’s real good, right?
Meanwhile, not to be outdone, Hillary scored a 152 on the test and had the same “Machiavellian Egocentricity” score as Saddam Hussein. Trump was one point higher. In fact, he beat Hillary in every category across the board.
What a good election were a having!
