Ford Is Introducing A Police Cruiser That Makes It Impossible To Tell If It’s A Cop Car, Which Is Some Bull

Man, call me old fashioned, but I believe in the transactional nature of the road, wherein a cop rightfully identifies himself by driving in a car with a big old set of lights on the top, and you had the common courtesy to put down your damn blunt when you saw them approaching from behind.

That’s the promise the American Highway was built on.

But now, cops, with their ever present need to enforce the law with ease (no one ever goes around making my job easier), are trying to change the damn game.

By sneaking up on.

Look at this bullshit new design from Ford.

Here’s what it says in the damn release.

Ford now offers a super-low-profile visor light bar that mounts inside the Police Interceptor Utility to enable a stealth appearance

Nah, no, fuck that. That is not one of the rules of the road. That is not what Eisenhower had in mind when he built our interstate system. It was a challenge. A game. One built on respect. You know, cat and mouse shit. You see the cop, you got a chance to hit the brake. You didn’t? Busted for speeding.

Not this shit.

Fuck that noise.

“Today, agencies typically use aftermarket interior visor light bars that are somewhat bulky and can obstruct the field of vision – especially for taller officers,” said Stephen Tyler, Ford police marketing manager for North American fleet, lease and remarketing operations. “This extremely low-profile unit is fully integrated where the headliner and top of the windshield meet, for tremendously improved driver visibility versus aftermarket alternatives.”

Fucking shit, man. How are we supposed to play the game if cops don’t follow the rules?
