Boston Dynamics’ New Humanoid Robot Will Probs Lead The Robot Apocalypse

Google company Boston Dynamics has spawned what could ultimately be the untimely demise of humankind. This impressive humanoid robot, named Atlas, is no doubt a kickass achievement; but it’s also vaguely terrifying the whole time. I mean dude, look at that robot go. It’s eery how much it’s movements at certain points resemble that of a human. You’ve gotta’ wonder were these robots mass produced on a huge scale, how that’d impact the manual labor employment prospects. Fast forward to around 1:30 and watch someone from the team fucking duel Atlas, in the name of displaying the robot’s impressive reaction skills/adaptability. It’s insanity.

Like why would any manager bausman throw down money to train and hire a pack of new, eager willing recruits if he could just order up a shitton of robots literally programmed for maximum efficiency? He wouldn’t. Granted, the price for one of these Atlas robots (or is every robot bestowed a unique name?..) is for sure going to be sky high, and in all honesty a luxury likely reserved for the uber wealthy.
