America’s corporate leaders are very handsomely compensated by shareholders their leadership, especially during the fat years when margins slim, revenues skyrocket, and stocks soar. The New York Times plugged the numbers of compensation packages across cash, stock, options, and perks to rank the most handsomely paid CEOs in the Land of the Free, home of the brave. Here are the titans of industry who brought home the most bacon in 2016:
