Look at her, LOOK AT HER! Look at Holly Hogue Edwards, the 35-year-old criminal defense lawyer who was arrested on Monday and indicted on three counts of illegal distribution of oxycodone as well as one count of distributing oxycodone and methamphetamine. She sure doesn’t look like your typical meth head, does she? Good for Holly. That’s what we need more of in this country – high-functioning meth heads who err on the side of “hot.” According to Daily Mail,
Allison Willis, a spokeswoman for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, said in a statement that Edwards was indicted after she sold drugs to undercover agents.
Sherrifs say they pulled Edwards over in a traffic stop on Interstate 75 in Houston County about 8:30 a.m. on Monday to serve an arrest warrant charging her in the case.
The investigation started after sources identified her as a source of drugs and also as a user.
Edwards has pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was released on Monday on $15,000 bond. If she is convicted she may be suspended from practicing law. But you know what she won’t be suspended from? Selling and smoking meth…as long as she’s not in prison, presumably.
