I have always wondered why sunscreen has one particular scent. Why not have like designer sunscreen that smells like fancy cologne? Or why not have sunscreen that smells like something that will turn heads because it has such a delicious aroma? Well, a brand new sunscreen has arrived and not only does it protect you from the sun’s harmful rays, but it also makes you smell like delectable fried chicken and it is made by KFC.
On Monday, KFC announced that they would give away their own Kentucky Fried Chicken SPF 30 sunscreen.
“The sun gives us life. But if we’re not careful it also gives us painful sunburns. That’s why we made KFC’s Extra Crispy™ Sunscreen,” KFC says. “Harmful ultraviolet rays bounce off your skin while the lovely fragrance rays penetrate it to give you a healthy chicken aroma.”
I’m sure vegans are going to bitch about this.

“KFC® Extra Crispy™ Sunscreen is an actual product. KFC® Extra Crispy™ Sunscreen is not a food product. NOT a food product. Do not eat this product. Even though this product smells delicious, it is not delicious. The only skin that should be extra crispy this summer is on your fried chicken,” KFC warns.
Umm hello? That’s fine and all, but where is the bacon-flavored sunscreen?
The giveaway of 3,000 bottles has already sold out and delivery is expected to take about eight weeks. That means we have no testimonials as to how exactly fried chicken skincare smells.
Not sure if I trust a fast food chain to protect me from cancerous ultraviolet rays. Plus, what happens when a dog attacks you because you give off the irresistible aroma of fried chicken? Worse, what happens if a hungry human tries to gnaw on your arm because you smell like delightful fried chicken? Sounds problematic.
