Dude Holds World Record For ‘Loudest Burp’ And Watching This Made My Dog Get Up And Leave The Room

Paul “The Burper King” Hunn is a cheeky bloke from the UK and ever since he belched out a burp of 109.9 dB back in 2009 he’s been the Guinness World Record holder for ‘loudest burp’. For years now Paul Hunn has been the undisputed champion of the competitive burping world, but now a challenger from Australia’s come along trying to snatch that crown right off The Burper King’s head and claim the Guinness World Record for himself.

In order to clear the air and remind everyone who has the biggest swinging Richard in the burping game Paul Hunn got together with Guinness World Records for this video. Here’s the king:

As stated in the video’s description, to put Paul Hunn’s 109.9 db burp into perspective that belch is louder than a FULL ORCHESTRA. A jackhammer is only 95 decibels, and this dude’s burping at 109.9 decibels. Here’s a list of things that average 100 decibels (from Purdue), and this dude’s burps are almost a full 10 decibels louder:

Jet take-off (at 305 meters), use of outboard motor, power lawn mower, motorcycle, farm tractor, jackhammer, garbage truck. Boeing 707 or DC-8 aircraft at one nautical mile (6080 ft) before landing (106 dB); jet flyover at 1000 feet (103 dB); Bell J-2A helicopter at 100 ft (100 dB).

They also list a ‘live rock concert’ at being around 108-114db, so just think about the burping power these two men have. I for one count myself fortunate to be alive during the time of the world’s greatest burpers battling for a Guinness World Record.
