Former WWE Star’s Speech Brings Entire School To Tears And… Just Great! Now I’m Crying Too

Marc Mero is a retired amateur boxer and former WCW and WWE star. He had a pretty solid career. His new gig is way more important. And probably more rewarding.

In 2007, Marc Mero founded the non-profit organization Champion of Choices. Marc Mero, and a group of other motivational and inspirational speakers, talk to auditoriums packed with middle school and high school kids about their life choices. Here’s more from the official Champion of Choices website.

Champion of Choices empowers students to make positive choices and has presented the popular “Choices” production at more than 1000 schools worldwide to more than half-a-million people. Serious issues such as bullying, peer pressure, substance abuse and suicide are presented in a way that touches listeners at a “heart level.” Students are inspired to treat themselves and others with respect, dream big, achieve goals, and cherish relationships. Champion of Choices’ compelling message evokes personal reflection, laughter and tears, and also instills HOPE. Students and faculty describe the “Choices” presentation as life changing.

Marc Mero visited a school in late December and the video of his speech is just starting to get passed around the web. It’s getting passed along with a box of tissues because, man, it’s a rough one.

Wow! I’m calling my mother, your mother and one else I suspect is a mom this afternoon. If you’d like, I can call your mom, but she’d probably rather hear from you. Plus she won’t understand a word I’m saying through my tears.
