The #MillionStudentMarch is a movement that demands tuition-free public college, cancellation of all student debt and a $15 minimum wage for all campus workers. The crusade is the byproduct of the raising popularity of self-proclaimed “Democratic Socialist” Bernie Sanders as well as the rabid activism that is taking place on college campuses across the nation and the demonstrations by fast-food workers who are pushing for a $15-an-hour minimum wage and union rights for the industry.
I think we can all agree that college costs are bloated and outlandish, but to just pardon student debt that an individual willingly accepted or to make college completely free is an extremely expensive entitlement to burden the nation with.
On Thursday, #MillionStudentMarch was widespread on Twitter and James Erickson, who is a Marine, chimed in on the top-trending hashtag with this fantastic tweet.
