The Minnesota State Fair reigns supreme as the state fair with the most over-the-top, disgusting food dishes. Sure, the Texas State Fair has some outrageous fried foods. Last year’s ‘Big Tex Choice Awards Finalists’ included some deep-fried monstrosities, like a deep-fried shrimp boil (how is that even possible?), and a funnel cake beer (kill me now). Again, none of the foods at the Texas State Fair are on the level of the Minnesota State Fair, the home of exorbitance and obesity. This year 50 new foods are being introduced to the Minnesota State Fair, so I figured I’d share 15 of the worst and 5 of the best with you bros (some old, some new), so you can begin to gain a sense of just how insane the cuisine there is. The trick is for you to guess which 15 I’m disgusted by and which 5 I want to eat right now.

Deep-Fried Ribs: Smoked baby back ribs, breaded, fried and served with BBQ sauce.
Cowboy Bites: Sweet corn kernels, bacon, jalapeños and cream cheese blended into bite-size balls, breaded and fried, and served with ranch dipping sauce
Hot Tail: Roasted pig tail coated in a scallion ginger sauce
Italian Dessert Nachos: Cinnamon sugar cannoli chips smothered with sweet ricotta cheese filling, fruit, chocolate, nuts and candy toppings
Limerick Stix: A blend of pimento cheese and cayenne pepper coated in a corn meal mix, deep-fried and served with custom dipping sauce
Spam Burger: Black Pepper, Bacon, Jalapeño, Hickory Smoke, Hot & Spicy
Maple Bacon Funnel Cake: A funnel cake infused with bacon pieces, then topped with sweet maple glaze and sprinkled with more bacon
BBQ Pickle Ice Cream: Exactly what it sounds like
Burger Dog: A ground blend of hamburger, hot dog, bacon, cheese and a splash of jalapeño on a hot dog bun

Cowboy Dave’s Cluck & Moo: Smashed potatoes, roasted beef and grilled chicken covered with beef gravy, crispy onions and mustard BBQ sauce
