‘Cool Mom’ Gets Arrested After Buying Daughter 12 Bags Of Cocaine For Her 18th Birthday

Parents are supposed to draw the line for their kids so they grow up to be responsible adults. Nicola Austen draws the line of coke so her daughter can have a bitchin’ 18th birthday party. Close enough, I guess.

The British mother purchased 12 bags of cocaine worth $461.03 as a birthday present for her daughter’s 18th birthday. The thoughtful mom even booked a limousine to have a place to take the drugs and “make sure she had a good time.” Beats the StufZ Burger Press that my mom got me for my 18th birthday.

The 37-year-old mom, who is also a grandmother, was planing a loving mother-daughter bonding experience of snorting coke in a wild party in London.

However the epic b-day party was canceled when a sniffer dog discovered 5.65 grams of cocaine during a raid. The coke was divided into 12 wraps in sections of her bedroom windowsill during a raid.

“It’s all been blown out of proportion,” Austen said. “I’ve had enough. It isn’t exactly the scoop of the century, is it? It was a party.” She’s right, the media tends to “blow” these delinquency of your children charges out of proportion.

Despite Austen being arrested and admitting to possessing cocaine with intent to supply, she did not go to jail. The coke-supplying mother will serve no time in prison and will only have to serve 250 hours “onerous” unpaid work.

The judge decided nine months imprisonment would be suspended because the mother’s imprisonment would have an adverse effect on Austen’s 14-year-old son, plus Nicola cares for her elderly grandmother.

The mother of three has six previous convictions, including one for possessing amphetamines and another for trying too hard to be the “cool mom.”
