We are just a handful of months away from the deadly Mk.II robot built by MegaBots, Inc (Team USA) squaring off against Team Japan’s robot in what is set to be a robot fight, unlike anything the world has ever seen before. Now, to borrow a phrase from the gaming world, a ‘third player has joined the game’. China has unveiled Monkey King, the third giant deadly robot in the world, and they’re hoping to woo MegaBots into fighting Monkey King after the Mk.II takes on Japan’s KURATAS (from Suidobashi).

The world just got its first look at China’s Monkey King robot. Built by GREATMETAL, this quadrupedal, single-seat robot is certainly a formidable opponent. I’m no roboticist, but I still think the Mk.II from MegaBots, Inc. is the most badass deadly fighting robot in the world at the moment, but I’ll let you bros take a look at GREATMETAL’s Monkey King and decide for yourself:

Monkey King was introduced to the world last weekend at the G-Festival in Beijing. GREATMETAL hopes that MegaBots, Inc. will agree to a deadly robots fight between Mk.II and Monkey King after Mega Bots fights Team Japan this August. Here are some stills of Monkey King on display just outside the Birds Nets Olympic Stadium in Beijing:

It’s still unclear when and where the Team USA vs Japan fight will take place, but we know it’s going to happen this August, so we’re just a few short months away from the greatest robot fight in history. It is now up to MegaBots, Inc. and Suidobashi of Japan to decide whether or not they will fight Monkey King after settling the Team USA vs Japan bout this Summer, but after seeing Monkey King I think it’s safe to say that we’ll see at least one more global robot fight before the end of next year.
