Robert O’Neill, the U.S. Navy SEAL who claims he fired the fatal shots into the face of the world’s most notorious terrorist, is also a Redskins fan.
That was originally mentioned in the Esquire profile of him, but O’Neill was still anonymous at the time, so he couldn’t waltz into the hotel of his favorite team before a game and ask to speak to a bunch of football players.
Now, though? Now, he can. So last night, he addressed the Skins before their BIG battle today with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (Big was sarcasm there. These teams have combined for four wins),
Pierre Garçon had this to say on Instagram about meeting O’Neill.
We had the honor of meeting and listening to a real HERO tonight before our game tomorrow and he’s a Redskins fan. Navy Seal Team 6 Rob O’Neill thank you for the inspiring words. #HTTR
Here he is with another person who doesn’t shine away from the spotlight and also brings upon himself tons of unnecessary media attention.

Yea. Those two have a lot more in common than you think.
