There’s an old saying in baseball that no one comes to watch the umpires. But that’s not entirely true.
Often times a spirited ump is the most compelling part of an otherwise dull affair.

For many of these guys, the unnecessary histrionics are almost as comical as the insane strike calls. Like, I can’t even imagine what I’d do if some jerk showed me up with a choreographed dance after ringing me up on a pitch 18 inches off the outside corner.
The players in the video are bigger men than I.
Many of these drunk-on-power hourly employees are straight-up crusin’ for a bruisin’. It’d be a damn shame if someone gave them what they were asking for.
