‘Star Trek’ Actor Patrick Stewart Lays The Wood On Donald Trump With One Funny Tweet

Many celebrities have come out of the woodwork to express their distain against Donald Trump’s presidential run. From George Clooney calling Trump a “xenophobic fascist,” to Louis C.K. telling his fans they should not vote for Trump in an email blast for his web series Horace and Pete, to John Oliver’s now famed 20-minute rant against the presidential hopeful, the Donald likely wouldn’t make too many friends at the Coachella VIP tent.

The latest to express his opposition with Trump is 75-year-old Patrick Stewart aka Captain Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Stewart apparently gave money to a homeless man who threatened to vote for Trump and posted the below tweet to his 2.23 million Twitter followers on Wednesday.

Captain Picard is widely known as being a snarky wiseass, indicative of this jab he threw at  Jeremy Clarkson on his British TV show Top Gear.

Well done, sir. But Chrissy Teigen still holds the funniest anti-Trump sentiment to date.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
