On Sunday, Matt brought you the news that two men convicted of murder escaped from a New York State penitentiary.
They are considered armed and dangerous, and police are stopping at nothing to apprehend them, as this video below shows.
In it, a passing motorist sees about a hundred officers standing basically arm-to-arm, surrounding a field where the two were recently spotted.
Just look at the police presence. Damn.

That’s insane, right? I know that convicts need to be de-incentivized to escape from prison, and the best way to ensure that is by capturing anyone who does, but like, is this not overkill? Yea, these people committed murder, but I don’t think they are planning on committing that much more murder. They just want to not be in prison.
So let’s find them, but let’s not use the entire damn force to do so.
Seems like a waste of resources to me. Right?
