A Bro Teen Just Punched The Prime Minister Of Spain Straight In The Face

Look, you may disagree, and I understand that, but I think we afford our politicians way more respect than they deserve.

They spew bullshit, and do bullshit things, and maybe they would stop if they knew that, at least occasionally, for some of their bullshit, they’d get punched in the face.

BEACH DEMOCRACY is what I call it.

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is campaigning for re-election right now, and the vote is just a few days away. He’s running on the nation’s recent economic growth and the claim that he has Spain’s tremendous unemployment rate finally under control. And while it is the lowest it’s been in five years, at 21% it’s still tremendously high.

Unemployment tends to disproportionally affect the young, and a lot of youths in the country are dissatisfied with Rajoy and the measures he’s taken. So much so that during a campaign walkabout, one Bro clocked Rajoy in the head.

Does anyone deserved to be sucker punched? No. But if any class of citizens does, it’s without a doubt politicians.

The 17-year-old teen told police, “I’m glad I did it.”

I don’t really have a dog in this Spain vote, but I am too.
