There isn’t much to go on, since Reddit user Imn8bro (is he telling us he’s a bro who has looks of an “8”?) offered no further context, but when this is the reaction your parents have from your best man speech at your brother’s wedding, I’d say you’re probably living all aspects of life the right way. And that is exactly what happened to Imn8bro. According to his account on Reddit:
To be honest I have no idea at what point in this speech this picture was taken. Think I was talking about how my brother told me (at 5 years old) to give my mother the finger because it meant I love you. He’s a very quiet “nice” guy so I enjoyed breaking that image of him. I ended with something like- I’m glad you found someone that can please you in ways that I cannot. I’m horrible at public speaking but I just had fun with it and relished the opportunity to embarrass him in front of 100+ friends and family.
By the look on his parents’ faces, which I can’t see because their buried them in their hands, I’d say he embarrassed more than just his brother.
Mother: “Where did we go wrong, Jon?”
Father: “Not using a condom? Forgetting to pull out? Failing to give him up for adoption? Living near a power plant? I can go on.”
Mother: “Please don’t.”
Sure, he may have embarrassed them to the point of being red-faced, but what’s really important for them to remember here is that at least he’s an 8 and not a total eyesore.
