You Might Think You’re Paleo But You’re Not TRULY PALEO Until You’re Willing To Eat Humans, Says Science

Next time someone tells you that they’re ‘Paleo’ I want you to stop and ask them one simple question: do you eat people? If the answer is ‘no’ then they are not truly following the infamous Paleo Diet, at least not according to recent scientific revelations. Because it turns out that the original Paleo Diet, the one our modern era fad diet is mirrored upon, relied heavily on the eating of human remains.

Jackie Salo of the NYPost reports:

Proponents of the Paleo philosophy, a popular diet based on foods believed to have been eaten by cavemen, are overlooking a gruesome staple of their meals: other people.
Researchers at the University of Tübingen in Germany found that Neanderthals had a taste for human bones and meat. The study published in the journal Scientific Reports on Wednesday found that cannibalism dates back as far as 45,000 years ago. Neanderthal remains discovered in France and the Iberian Peninsula bear cut marks, as well as percussion indentations that show bones were purposefully crushed to extract the marrow.
These indications allow us to assume that the Neanderthals practiced cannibalism. The many remains of horses and reindeer found in Goyet were processed the same way,” Hervé Bocherens, a University of Tübingen professor and lead researcher, told the Guardian.

So there you have it, you’re not REALLY PALEO unless you’re eating people. There’s no wiggle room here, the modern Paleo Diet is supposed to mirror the diet of the Paleolithic Period in which the early Neanderthals lived. Those Neanderthals ate people, they practiced cannibalism, and if you’re not eating people and crushing up their bones for marrow then you are simply not following the Paleo Diet, bro. Another recent study claimed that the Paleo Diet makes you fat, so it’s sort of a tough time in life if you’re a huge proponent of the Paleo lifestyle.
