Do you remember what you were doing or where you were in 1998? It doesn’t seem that long ago, but HOLY SHIT, it was so long ago. Like, it’s been almost 20 years since 1998 came and went. I just started high school at the time and life was prettay, prettay good for your old pal JC. My life revolved around playing sports, playing sports-related video games, learning how to drink for sport, trying to get into girls’ pants, and figuring out why boners happened for no reason. I’ve grown out of maybe two of those things… I’ll keep some mystery and let you guess which ones they are.
To be honest, I mostly watched this entire video to see if Pearl Jam’s “Given to Fly” off their 1998 Yield album would be in the video and IT WAS!
You know…reading that last sentence back to myself just made me realize how pathetic it is to admit that I watched a 15-minute video for a five second payoff. Then again, in 1998 I’d talk to a girl on the phone for two hours for a five second payoff (Insert all the winks in the world here) so I’ve still made some substantial progress.
