I dunno about you guys, but if I’m going to try to mug a news reporter I’d probably wait until the camera wasn’t rolling. Hell, I’d go the extra mile and wait until the friggin’ cameraman wasn’t even around because that’s the sort of moderate thought that should be applied while trying to mug someone. Then again these clearly aren’t the brightest thieves since they displayed their faces prominently on camera, so that alone should tip you in to the sort of geniuses we’re dealing with here.
According to Uproxx,
On Tuesday, SABC3 contributing reporter Vuyo Mvoko was mugged on the streets of South Africa while cameras were rolling. Mvoko was preparing a live interview, covering Zambian President Edgar Lungu’s arrival to Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg. Instead, he and his crew were robbed at gunpoint, and their cell phones and production laptop were stolen.
Thankfully in the end no one was harmed, however I think the larger problem we’ve got here is that there’s people this stupid running around polluting the gene pool.
