A Rick Perry-Donald Trump ‘Tough Guy Challenge’ Is Exactly What America Needs
You guys, this might be the most hilarious macho thing that I have ever seen in my entire life, as former Texas Governor and hopeful 2016 U.S. Presidential candidate Rick Perry just fired shots at Donald Trump—by challenging him to a pull-up contest.
Yes, bros, the future Leader of the Free World might not be decided at the ballot box, after all, instead being determined on a playground.
With Trump and Perry engaged in a war of words for some time now, Perry replied to a reporter who asked if he had a message for Trump, coming up with the physical challenge idea. Via CNN:
“Let’s get a pull-up bar out there and let’s see who can do the most pull-ups.”
Who knew that politics was so much like Double Dare, huh? What a bro move by Perry.

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsPerry, who has been one of Trump’s harshest critics, even threw fire at Donald on Twitter last month when his senior strategist in Iowa, Bob Haus, posted a photo of the real estate billionaire during his visit to the Texas-Mexico border, using the caption, “This is what a Manhattan ‘tough guy’ wears to the southern border. White golf shoes and a linen jacket.”
Naturally, Donald replied in kind, posting a photo of himself with Perry and captioning it with some discriminating words, which included calling Perry a “hypocrite.”
Two, complete opposites—both in terms of political views and methodology—this is clearly a case of the athletic bully trying to knockout the rich kid with the silver spoon, and it’s a juicy little twist in the race to the Oval Office.
Now let’s get these guys padded up and have them go at it in full American Gladiators style to see who should really get the Republican bid.
I’m taking Trump—he looks like a scrappy little asshole and a biter.
