People Are Pissed That Serena Williams’ ‘Sports Illustrated’ Cover Was Edited To Make Her Look Thinner

Despite being named Sports Illustrated’s 2015 Sportsperson of the Year, fans of Serena Williams are pissed that the magazine supposedly edited her figure to appear slimmer for the her cover shot. For the record, here’s what Serena Williams looks like via her Instagram account, with these images presumably not having been edited:

Now here’s Serena’s Sports Illustrated cover:

It’s pretty obvious her legs have been edited to be thinner, as is the norm for most any magazine cover photo (or any photo in any magazine anywhere, really). And while I’m pretty blasé about it since EVERYTHING is ALWAYS Photoshopped and it’s become an industry standard that I really don’t care enough to complain about, people on Twitter are pretty pissed:

People ALSO seem to be mad that American Pharoah didn’t win the award from Sports Illustrated despite coming in first place for the readers’ poll:

However…

‘Nuff said.
