After watching this clip from Chicago’s WGN — home of the baseball’s lovable losers, the Chicago Cubs — I’m ready to throw in the towel and quit the Internet for the rest of the week. The St. Patrick’s Day broadcast featured a circus performing who took some sort of power tools to a hard surface on her crotch while making sparks fly. The whole the the anchors are freaking out, but the host with the mic is loving every second of it.
ALSO, there are kids watching the spectacle in the background, wide-eyed and open-jawed.
A word to the wise, broadcast communication majors: Never let circus performers with power tools on TV, no matter what holiday it is. Sparks will fly.
