OMG OMG OMG: The ’90s Soda Surge Is Back!

Surge is back! OMG OMG OMG OMG… DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE. I thought this was a joke when I first clicked on the video, but it’s 100% legit. Thanks to the Bring Surge Back Facebook movement, Coca Cola is bringing back the ultimate ’90s nostalgia soda back FOR REAL. The citrus soda nectar of the gods  — which first hit shelves in 1996 — was discontinued in 2001 and has been a hot commodity for soda-lovers ever since, mostly because it’s the ultimate throwback to childhood for many-a Internet-savvy millennial.

Today Coca-Cola announced that they’re selling and distributing it exclusively on Amazon.com for $14 for a 12-pack of 16-ounce cans. Here’s a quote from a statement given to Buzzfeed:

“Future plans for the brand will depend on the level of excitement exhibited by fans across the country,” Wendy Clark, president of sparkling and strategic marketing for Coca-Cola North America, said in the statement.

I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS IS REAL LIFE. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO HAPPEN TO ME SINCE… THE BOY MEETS WORLD REUNION? THE BEST SODA OF THE 90s IS BACK!

Check out the unbridled euphoria going on in the Amazon reviews right now. DID TODAY JUST BECOME THE BEST DAY EVER OR WHAT?!
