Teacher Hides Box Of Wine In Purse, Gets Plastered, Pukes In Classroom, Taken Out In A Wheelchair

Judith Elizabeth Richards-Gartee

It would be easy to come on here and blast this substitute teacher for bringing alcohol into the classroom and being so utterly intoxicated that she not only puked, but could not walk on her own because she was so fucking blitzed. But I am not a substitute teacher so I don’t want to judge someone on their jobs because maybe a substitute teacher needs an entire box of wine to get through her day of attempting to teach uninterested high school students about biology. Or maybe she could have not drank an entire box of wine and just put on a movie for the students and simply chillaxed the entire day. But again, I’m not here to judge.

Administrators at Brookland-Cayce High School found inebriated 52-year-old substitute teacher Judith Elizabeth Richards-Gartee vomiting on the floor of a classroom in front of her students at around 9:45 Friday morning. Like the old adage goes, “the early bird gets the box of cheap wine.” The South Carolina substitute teacher was said to have “a box of wine in her bag that was opened” and that students reported she was “consuming the wine during class.” Bring in a big thermos with half coffee and half whiskey like the rest of us. Fucking rookie.

Mrs. Richards-Gartee was unable to walk because she was so incredibly plastered so they had to get a wheelchair from the nurse’s office and wheel her out of the school. She was brought to a nearby medical center.

You’ve got to give it to Mrs. Richards-Gartee, that’s an extremely effective PSA against drinking alcohol or at the very least swaying anyone from making the unforgivable mistake of drinking wine from a box.

On Monday, the Lexington School District 2 released a statement of the shitfaced teach:

“On Friday, March 10, 2017, it was reported to the Administration of Brookland-Cayce School that a substitute teacher was behaving erratically and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. This substitute is not an employee of the District, but works for Kelly Services. Kelly contracts with the District to provide substitute teachers.”

Richards-Gartee was charged with disorderly conduct.

On the plus side, at least she didn’t bang the students.
