The riots in Baltimore have affected more than just Maryland citizens, with the persistent unrest impacting not just those of us who have never even visited Baltimore, but celebrities and public figures as well. One such public figure, Dwayne Johnson (also known as The Rock to us common folk), took to Twitter to call for peace in the currently troubled city.
This won’t reach everyone but it may reach a few. Destroying the city isn’t the answer. I know what it’s like to be down and frustrated…

But chaos won’t get you heard. We need to honor the Gray family’s wishes, end the violence and see real leaders emerge…

Ain’t preachin’ here, just sending word. #Baltimore

Hopefully the violence will end soon. We’re pulling for ya, Baltimore.
