Son Pulls Bro Move Of The Century, Gives His Mom A ‘Night She Never Had’ After Lifetime Of Struggle

An Ohio high school student named Trey Potter pulled one of biggest bro moves a son can do for his mom at his age when he decided to ask his mom, who has a very rough life, to be his prom date.

Trey says this was something has wanted to do since he was 12-years-old to show his appreciation for her, but his mom never dreamed it would become a reality.

His mom, MelissaRoshan (MelRo) Potter, grew up 23 foster care homes, was abused in some of them, and them became pregnant and homeless when she was just 16-years-old. MelRo’s mom also had a rough life, being raped when she was 13, and giving birth to her, which is how she ended up in the foster care system to begin with.

“When I was pregnant with him well, I heard, ‘Mel because you lived in the foster care system, you’re probably not going to raise a thriving individual. It just doesn’t happen. You can’t give him what you don’t have.’ So seeing who he has become and knowing the sacrifices that have been made and how much I love him and seeing that come to fruition, I’ve proved him wrong,” Potter said.

So why Trey think it would be cool to take his mom to prom when most kids want to be as far away from their parents as possible on a night such as that?

“She never had that experience and she’s risked so much for throughout my life and made so many sacrifices I thought it would be the right thing to do,” Trey Potter said.

Now that is the definition of a serious bro move right there, Trey. Props to you, and your mom.
