Four Sets Of Identical Twins Pulled Off An Incredible Time Travel Prank On The NYC Subway

I’ll tell you one thing, if you’re riding that subway car and not sober, this might the most believable thing ever. Twin after twin after twin and at some point, you probably actually convince yourself that time travel is real; that these folks are actually from the future and all that. It’s uncanny to be out in public and come across one set of twins palling around together, let alone 4 sets.

Pretty decent execution with the prank, too, and obviously it’s really hard to keep a straight face when all the other passengers on the train are laughing at your exploits, but this idea was definitely thinking outside the box. Admittedly, some of the bewildered reactions they got were pretty damn funny.

The skit was the brainchild of a comedy troupe called Improv Everywhere. Here’s how they described the idea for it.

For our latest mission, we staged an elaborate time travel prank on a New York City subway car with four sets of identical twins. A man enters a subway car and announces he is raising money to complete his time machine. At the next stop, his future self enters to try to talk him out of it. More and more time travelers convene on the subway car as the train rolls along, surprising the random commuters caught up in the middle.

Not bad. Not bad at all. Solid 9/10. A pair of Marty McFlys worked into the mix definitely would’ve constituted a solid 10/10.
