The campus of UCLA in Westwood, Ca., is on lockdown at the moment after reports of a shooting near Boelter Hall – part of the Samueli School of Engineering & Applied Science.

Tragically, TMZ is reporting that two casualties are confirmed. The LA Times has also made that confirmation. It’s reported both victims are male.

The shooting was reported at around 10:00am PST; a search for the gunman is still ongoing as of 2:25pm EST.

Live streaming video of the ongoing situation can be found HERE c/o The Los Angeles Times.

As of 1:55pm EST, the campus remains on lockdown, and the University has released the following statement:

Police are investigating a shooting in Engineering IV. Police are on the scene and report that there are two victims. The campus remains on lockdown.

People are being asked to shelter in place.

The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are responding to the scene in addition to LAPD and SWAT forces.

Goes without saying, but terrible news all around. Our thoughts are with the Bruins faithful.
