Yo — Chipotle Is Adding Dessert To Its Menu

As a company, Chipotle is still recovering from it’s explosive E.Coli outbreak that sent hundreds to the hospital (…and possibly thousands more to the bathroom). One of the ways the restaurant is rebounding is by adding new menu items and hyping the marketing of said menu items, a proven way to get you in the door of pretty much any chain restaurant (i.e.: The Unicorn Frappuccino/Burger King Bacon Sundae model). So Chipotle is going into the dessert game, now offering a Mexican dessert to compliment your lunchtime burrito bowl.

Business Insider has the scoop:

One of the new items is called buñuelos, a Mexican dessert made of fried tortillas topped with honey, sugar, and cinnamon, and served with an apple caramel dipping sauce, the company said Tuesday.

Chipotle will start testing the buñuelos next month, Chipotle spokesman Chris Arnold told Business Insider.

The company revealed last year that it would be adding its first-ever dessert to its menu. But the company has kept details about the new menu item under wraps until Tuesday.

Can’t wait for Chipotle churros. Let’s just hope they keep the price as cheap as they do at Costco.
