Put yourself in my shoes just a couple of days ago, you get invited to one of the most prestigious golf courses in all of California as a guest. Not only are you playing horrendous but you are overly concerned about your pace of play because you don’t want to upset the members and make it obvious that you have no business playing on this nice of a course. You are chunking the place up and don’t even have enough time to fill in all the divots and havoc you are wreaking on the course. Every time you turn behind you there is a lady on your tail just pummeling balls down the fairway at a faster than PGA Tour pace.
You want to be courteous and let her go in front of you but you also don’t want to be embarrassed by the fact that this girl is driving it 100 yards further than you. Your caddie, that can easily beat you by 15 shots if he was allowed to play, turns to you and says, “you should probably let Mrs. Jenner go ahead of you, she’s really good.” Do you swallow your pride and let her playthrough, or do you keep her waiting?
