The 2025 NFL Draft is just days away, and if these teams land these players in the first round, they should be pretty happy.

Cleveland Browns - Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter

It seems very likely that the Browns are going to go with Travis Hunter at pick 2, and it is a great fit. Let’s face it, this franchise needs a reason to feel good about itself right now. A guy like Travis Hunter, who will be one of the most electrifying players in the NFL from Day One, will be just that.

New England Patriots - Penn State Edge Abdul Carter

Not only is Carter arguably the best player in the draft, but he’s at a position of need for the Patriots. And, he’s a great scheme fit, too. If he falls to pick 4, expect the Patriots to run the card to the table.

Carolina Panthers - Georgia Edge Jalon Walker

The Panthers need a pass rusher, and Jalon Walker has the potential to be a future Pro Bowler. It would be a great fit at Pick 8.

Chicago Bears - Mizzou OT Armand Membou

I don’t think Armand Membou is going to get to pick 10. He simply has too much potential. But, if he does, the Bears will have found their left tackle of the future. Membou has the potential to be an All-Pro.

Miami Dolphins - Michigan CB Will Johnson

Will Johnson is an elite cornerback prospect whose draft stock was hurt by injuries in 2024. This would be the perfect replacement for Jalen Ramsey, who is getting traded at some point this offseason.

Indianapolis Colts - Penn State TE Tyler Warren

The Colts need to figure out the tight end position. Enter Tyler Warren, an elite tight end prospect who should be available at pick 14.

Cincinnati Bengals - Alabama MLB Jihaad Campbell

There are a lot of holes on the Bengals defense, and normally teams don’t love using picks on box linebackers this high. But, I think that Campbell has the athleticism and physicality to be a perennial All-Pro. That would be a huge building block as they look to rebuild the defense at pick 17.

Seattle Seahawks - Texas WR Matthew Golden

The team traded away DK Metcalf, and they need a down-the-field threat. Enter Matthew Golden. The ultra-productive receiver ran sub-4.3 in the 40. He would be good value at pick 18.

Kansas City Chiefs - Ohio State OT Josh Simmons

The Chiefs have to figure out the situation at offensive tackle. Josh Simmons missed the end of Ohio State’s season last year with an injury. But, he he has a ton of upside and could become a franchise left tackle. At pick 31, it would be great value.

Philadelphia Eagles - Texas A&M DL Shemar Stewart

The Eagles love drafting high-upside defensive linemen, even if they need some polish still. That described Shemar Stewart, an athletic freak whose production never quite matched his profile. At pick 32, the Eagles can make a bet that their great team culture and development will get the most out of his elite raw tools.
