March is so back, and so is conference tournament season! Ladies and Gentlemen, it is the most wonderful time of the year, and I ain’t talking about Christmas. There are a few teams that I think could genuinely win it all, conference tournaments and the big dance, and today I want to highlight Kentucky. Let’s get into it.
At second in the SEC only behind a juggernaut of a Tennessee team, Kentucky has a really good squad. They’re ranked 9th overall for a reason everyone. Antonio Reeves is an absolute stud, averaging over 20 points a game while shooting over 50% from the field. That is just ridiculous. As a team, this is one of the best offenses in the NCAA as they score just under 90 points per game which is good for third in the entirety of college basketball.
Defensively they are not quite as good, allowing almost 80 points per game, but if you allow 80 and score 90, the numbers indicate that on average you’re winning by 10! Defense usually wins championships, but I still think this squad can make a deep run in the conference tournament, but also the Big Dance. Watch out for Kentucky!!
