Ladies and gentlemen, we are finally so so back. The NCAA Tournament is back after an unreal conference tournament week, and I’m more excited than a kid in a candy shop. One of the opening matchups is North Carolina State vs Texas Tech, so let’s break it down.

Ranked 23 in BPI this Texas Tech team is not one to be trifled with and is a pretty solid squad. Allowing less than 70 points a game they have a stingy defense and score more than 75 a game on average. Issacs and Toussaint lead the way scoring 15.9 and 12.1 respectively, but will this all be enough to slow down a red hot squad?

Honestly, I’m not sure. If NC State can keep their mojo going and play the way they did throughout the ACC tournament this is going to be a tough team to stop. Like at the beginning of the season beginning 11-3, then dropping 11 of 17, then rattling off 5 wins against tough ACC opponents, this team is more streaky than I am after Chipotle. Led by a duo of DJs, Horne and Burns score 16.9 and 12.4 respectively and when they’re on the Wolfpack is strong. An upset here would not upset me.
