14-Year-Old Who Deadlifts 425 Pounds Is Here To Remind You Your Life Was One Big Disappointment After Another

You didn’t make varsity when you tried out sophomore year.

Junior year your coach asked you to switch positions.

Senior year you didn’t win the starting job and sat on the bench the whole season.

Freshman year of college you were asked to switch positions back.

Sophomore year you were beaten out by a freshman.

Junior year you quit.

That’s life.

Here’s 14-year-old Tristan Hjermstad, who is a freshman at Bourne High School in Massachusetts. He stands 6’2″ and weighs 180 pounds. He made varsity his freshman year.

He can crush these deadlifts with ease. That’s 365 he’s doing reps at. At 14, he maxed out at 245 pounds on the bench, 365 squatting and 425 on the deadlift, according to his pops.

I’m not jealous. I’m not jealous at all.
