The Texas A&M Aggies got off to a hot start with a 50-0 win over Missouri State followed by a 48-20 win over Arizona State. Then the fun stopped. In back-to-back weeks, the Aggies fell to 0-2 in SEC play with a 31-21 loss against Kentucky (at home) followed by a 35-6 road loss to Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge.
The Aggies are averaging just 345 yards/game through 4 weeks, which is 62 yards/game less than FSU by the way, all while paying their former coach poached from FSU over $7.2 million a year in buyout money. Things are not great in College Station, Texas and in need of a drastic shift in a hurry!
To try an reinvigorate the fans and team, Texas A&M announced they would be debuting a new End Zone design at Kyle Field. They did so on X with an image showing a blanked out end zone design with ‘New End Zone Design Loading’ written at mid-field. In theory, this should have been a post that people saw and moved on with their lives. Instead, it sparked a meme war with some of the best College Football memes we’ve seen in a long time, all while the Texas A&M Aggies get ruthlessly trolled.

That post above is the genesis of all this. I have gone ahead and pulled 15 of the best Texas A&M memes from the thread on X. You can see the thread in full with 650+ replies and counting. One thing is clear from all of these, in the age of AI it is easier than ever for people to create College Football memes without needing PhotoShop and the requisite skills to use it. But I digress… Let’s check out the Texas A&M memes in response to their new end zone:
For what it’s worth, A&M was 11-2 last season but 8-5, 7-6, and 5-7 in the three seasons prior. They don’t have a recognized Football National Championship since 1939. Yet for some reason, they expect to compete alongside historic programs like Texas, Alabama, LSU, etc.
This one is too good. Spirit Halloween is notorious for taking over dead spaces. If Kyle Field and the Aggies are in for another brutal season, the sponsorship might actually be worth exploring.
The Aggies still have games against #25 Missouri and #7 Alabama on the road and #17 Tennessee and #1 Texas at home. How many losses do you think they’ll finish the season with?

This joke, while funny, is played out. Calling Aggies ‘weirdos’ within the SEC is so common a new phrase is needed to keep things fresh.
There are currently 37 Buc-ee’s locations across Texas, primarily along I-10 and I-35. The nearest Buc-ee’s to A&M is over an hour away. They can’t even get their own Buc-ee’s but demand to be taken seriously in Texas?! C’mon, man.
The ‘little brother’ type jokes will never stop. Until Texas A&M finds a way to beat the Longhorns for 5+ years in a row *and* win a National Championship (or two), they will have to suffer through these low hanging fruit memes.
Is it high time to rebrand the ’12th man’ as the 2-2 man if Texas A&M keeps starting their season getting crushed and then dominated by memes on social media? The past decade has not been kind to the Aggies.
A quick reminder that TAMU lost to App State, a school they paid a small fortune to come to College Station and play them. They lost 17-14 on September 10, 2022.
Did someone really need to throw in a Waterboy meme to pile on Texas A&M’s misery? No. Is it funny that they did? Yes.
At this point, 8-4 seems like a very generous prediction for the Aggies. I could easily see them losing 5 more games this season for 7 total losses on the year.

Texas A&M’s failures are systemic. It is the coaching, coordinators, squad, all of the above.
