49ers Owner Jed York Punished By NFL For Trying To Pay $160 For Hookup At Ohio Trailer Park

The NFL has finally punished 49ers owner Jed York over his prostitution scandal.

Last month, York was arrested at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community in East Palestine, Ohio, where he attempted to hook up with a prostitute for $160.

York messaged the female and advised that his name was Joe and that he would like to visit the female,” detectives wrote in the document. Later that same day, York allegedly reached out again. He “advised that he was just checking in, and was seeing if the female was available,” the report stated.

When both messages went unanswered by the undercover agent involved in the sting, York again reached out at 9:11 a.m. Sunday, according to the document. He “asked if the female was free, and that he would love to come see her,” the report stated. He “was advised that full service sexual activity was $160.00, with unprotected sex being $20 more,” officials wrote in the report. “York advised that the $160,00 worked for him, and he was on his way.”

On Friday, the NFL announced they were suspending York for six games and fining him $500k for the incident.

York, who took a plea, released a statement after the NFL announced his punishment.

“Today, the NFL concluded its review, and I accept its decision in full. To my family, to the players, coaches, and employees of the San Francisco 49ers, to our fans and partners, I am deeply sorry. This was an inexcusable mistake and I take full responsibility. What I did does not reflect my values or the man I strive to be for my family. While I fell short of the model I want to set for my sons, I now hope to show them the importance of owning up to one’s failures, and that even our worst moments teach us to be better. Leading the 49ers is a privilege, and one I don’t take lightly. Your trust will have to be earned back over time, and I look forward to that work ahead.”
