Last night, female soccer star Abby Wambach was arrested for allegedly driving drunk in Oregon.
Today, USMNT players Jozy Altidore and Alejandro Bedoya tweeted jokes at Wambach’s expense, poking fun at Wambach’s comments about the USMNT using “foreign guys” on the team and the arrest of Hope Solo’s husband, Jerramy Stevens, for driving drunk while taking a U.S. Soccer van for a spin.

Bedoya was quickly criticized over the tweets but he refused to back down.

So, what I'm learning now via Twitter is that some people value athletic achievement more than human life…. Got that.

And if you can dish out criticism, like make xenophobic comments, than I'm sure you can take criticism also when you mess up.

While Bedoya is correct in saying what Wambach did is inexcusable it’s still not cool to kick someone while they’re down just because you don’t like them.
