Aaron Rodgers certainly isn’t shy regarding the hype he feels about second-year wide receiver Garrett Wilson, as the four-time MVP recently took to Instagram to make a comparison between him and fellow teammate Davante Adams.

Adams, now with the Las Vegas Raiders, played with Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers from 2014 to 2021 and established himself as one of the league’s best pass catchers during that time.

Wilson, on the other hand, won Offensive Rookie of the Year last season despite playing with a pitiful trio of signal-callers in Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, and Mike White.

In addition to sharing to Rodgers’ Instagram post, SNY reporter Connor Hughes speculated that Adams will be playing for Gang Green before the end of the season. Hughes admitted, however, that this is a “hot take.”

Rodgers’ post on Instagram comes amidst a tumultuous week for the Jets’ offense, as the team’s offensive line issues reared its ugly head in their preseason game against the Carolina Panthers and during practice this week against the Tampa Bay Bucs.

While the Jets head into the season with Super Bowl aspirations and expectations, struggles on the offensive line could derail all of that, especially considering that the 39-year-old Rodgers isn’t quite as mobile as he used to be.

As mentioned above, despite the subpar caliber of his quarterbacks, Wilson was able to haul in 83 catches for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns during his rookie campaign.

The combination of Rodgers and Wilson is likely one of the main reasons that the Jets enter the season as one of the main Super Bowl contenders in the NFL. With less than a month ago until the 2023 season officially kicks off, the Jets’ Super Bowl betting odds only trail the following six teams: the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, and Dallas Cowboys.
