The Aaron Rodgers saga is never-ending, and the legendary quarterback seemingly cannot stay out of the news. Everyone is waiting to see if he will play next year and who he will play for.

Recently, Rodgers went on a darkness retreat to figure out his future. And, he came out of the retreat with a timeline.

“It’s best for anybody who has an interest in this to make a decision sooner rather than later,” Rodgers said.

“I remember before [Brett] Favre retired, there were times in April and May, we weren’t sure if he was going to come back because he didn’t come to any of the offseason program. Then in 2008, he actually did retire in March and then said, ‘No, no, no,’ in June after OTAs, I actually want to come back and play. That’s when he was traded to the Jets. There was obviously a lot of tension that summer. For everybody involved directly and indirectly, it’s best for a decision earlier.”

So, with it now being March 7, the future Hall of Famer, four-time MVP, and Super Bowl champion is closing in on that window.

But, after the Packers missed the playoffs last year, and considering the ongoing headaches that Rodgers creates, some think the team doesn’t want him back.

But, on Monday night, Pro Football Network’s Trey Wingo reported that the Jets have been contacting the Rodgers team, the biggest link between the two parties so far.

That would send a shockwave through the NFL, and the Jets would become instant contenders. The team went 7-10 this year despite terrible quarterback play, and if they added Rodgers, it would be a huge boost to a pretty good roster.
