Hard as it may be to believe, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named the most annoying player in football according to a new poll of over 3,000 football fans.

Actually, that isn’t really that hard to believe.

Colin Cowherd believes Aaron Rodgers is the most annoying player in football.

“I’ve always had this thing with Aaron Rodgers, and fans are like, ‘Colin, it’s just you and an Aaron Rodgers thing.’ And officially today, it’s not,” Cowherd said on his show on Wednesday.

“It’s never been a me and Aaron thing. He’s exhausting to everybody.”

“Aaron did not used to be like this. Aaron was not annoying when he came into the league. That was not who Aaron was,” Cowherd continued. “He was cool, he was fun, he was kinda cocky, but he replaced Favre, it was kinda cool. And then Brady and Manning pull away, he becomes stats obsessed.”

“And then COVID hits four years ago,” Cowherd added. “And as Brady and Manning start moving into broadcasting and corporate America and dealing in the media and working for the media, once again Aaron has to be different. … So he creates a new measuring stick. ‘I’m not a shill, I’m not corporate, I’m anti-media, I believe in conspiracy theories.'”

It wasn’t even really that close either. Aaron Rodgers got 27 percent of the vote. Travis Kelce, naturally, came in second with 17 percent, followed by Odell Beckham Jr. at 10 percent, Patrick Mahomes with eight percent, and Dak Prescott at five percent.

On a state by state basis, Aaron Rodgers was voted the most annoying NFL player off the field by 23 of the 32 NFL fanbases (he tied with Kelce among the Chargers’ fanbase).

This is quite an accomplishment for Rodgers as in 2022 he was ranked in a Fort Worth Star-Telegram study as the most hated person in the NFL, beating out Antonio Brown, Roger Goodell, and the Tag Team of Insufferability.

Based on that, it would appear NFL fans’ disdain for Aaron Rodgers has some real sticking power.

The poll, conducted by Action, also covered which NFL team’s visiting fans and which behaviors fans find the most annoying while attending an NFL game.
