Colorado could not hang with Iowa during Saturday’s women’s college basketball game in the Sweet 16 of March Madness. The Buffaloes lost to the Hawkeyes by 21 points.

Star center Aaronette Vonleh did not play poorly, but it wasn’t her best performance of the year.

Her play drew criticism from a fan watching at home. He said that she does not play with passion or urgency and looks like she is checked out.

To be a junior, Vonleh for Colorado does not play with any passion or sense of urgency. Almost like she has more important things to do. Strongest person on the floor too.

Whether she was searching her name on X or had it come across her feed through the algorithm, Vonleh saw the man’s post. It did not sit well.

In response to the judgement, Colorado’s 6-foot-3 big challenged him to a game of 1-on-1.

Little did she know, the fan is actually a former Division-I hooper. Jamie Jones is his name.

The self-proclaimed “struggling actor” has appeared on Snowfall, 911 Lone Star, and The Rookie, among others. He is currently a recurring character on Tyler Perry’s show Zatima.

Prior to his acting career, Jones played four years of college basketball from 2005-2010 with Portland and Portland State. The 6-foot-8 power forward averaged 8.75 points, 5.95 rebounds during his career.

He also played one season of professional basketball in Germany before moving to L.A. for acting.

Now 36 years old, Jones remains in fantastic shape. It has been a few years since he was last on the court. His career came to an end in 2011.

However, he now has an offer on the table to turn back the clock a little bit. Aaronette Vonleh wants to play him 1-on-1 after seeing what Jones had to say about her game, but likely did not know his background before extending the invitation.

The former has a lot to lose if he accepts. The latter has nothing to lose.

Jones should absolutely fly out to Boulder and hit the hardwood!
