Adrien Raza is the Godfather of Urban Skimboarding. The four-time European Champion travels the world gliding across shallow water in some of the coolest places you would never expect.

His most recent video will scratch an itch in your brain that you didn’t know was there!

Raza is currently based in Rotterdam after growing up in France. Not only is he one of the most accomplished athletes in skimboarding history, he somehow combines the most exciting parts of surfing, wakeboarding and skateboarding to take his sport to the next level. Here are the basics:

There are two main disciplines in skimboarding: flatland and waves. Although Raza got his start on the latter, he made his name in the former. It is most commonly practiced on non-coastal waters, like a river, lake, stream or puddle. Raza takes it to the streets!

If there is water, he will hit it— even if it gets him kicked out of London.

Adrien Raza’s latest adventure took him to Bolivia to ride on Salar de Uyuni. The World’s largest salt flat covers more than 4,000 square miles on the westernmost border with Chile. It was formed more than forty thousand years ago as a result of several prehistoric lakes. They have since evaporated over time. It is now covered by a flat salt crust, which varies by less than one meter in elevation over the entire area of the Salar. The flat surface is covered by a small layer of water, which creates a mirror effect.

As a result, the Salar de Uyini gets the nickname the “mirror of the sky.” It makes it look like Raza is skimboarding on the clouds. He can go for miles and miles! This is not A.I. —

The 4K highlights of Adrien Maza’s magical ride across the mirror in the sky are insane.

I don’t know about you, but I needed this today. The outside world is crazy. Watching a skimboard slide across the world’s largest salt flat was a great break from it all. Take these next six minutes to completely zen out!
