Carmelo Anthony called a close to his remarkable two decade run in the NBA on Monday morning with an inspiring video.

But it didn’t take long for him to find a new line of work.

Anthony wrapped his career as 12-time NBA All-Star who averaged 22.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. But he was also known for his often larger than life personality.

Which may be part of the reason that adult film company CamSoda offered him a job just hours after his retirement announcement.

“Dear Carmelo Anthony, Congratulations on your retirement! We are grateful for everything you accomplished on the hardwood,” the press release began. “Now that you have some free time, I’m like to extend you an offer to serve as the ‘Chief Ball Officer’ at CamSoda, an adult entertainment webcam site. During your illustrious 19-year career, you banged down low, went straight to the hole, penetrated up the middle, and had some of the best ball-handling skills in the league. Safe to say, you know ball and ball don’t lie.

“As CBO, you’d spearhead model recruitment. We’d also like to consult you on a ‘banana boat’ scene we’d like to film this summer. In return for serving as CBO for one full year, we’d compensate you up to $250,000.

“Get back to me at your earliest convenience and we can chat about the role. I look forward to hearing from you. #StayMe7o.”

The “banana boat” reference was, of course, in reference to the famous banana boat group of Anthony, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul. The four superstars are friends on and off the court and the latter three were photographed together while on an inflatable banana boat in 2015. Anthony was not in the photograph, but was on vacation with the group at the time.

Anthony has not yet responded publicly to the inquiry.
