One of the longest-running dramas in the NFL has come to a close, as wide receiver AJ Brown was finally traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the New England Patriots. Brown was traded on June 1 after months of rumors about the deal.
According to reports, AJ Brown has been angling for a move to the New England Patriots for a while now, potentially even as early as Week 4 of the 2025 season. A move to New England reunites him with head coach Mike Vrabel, who was his coach during his days with the Tennessee Titans.
New England Patriots wide receiver AJ Brown is being dragged for sharing an AI-made photo of himself in a Pats jersey alongside a Diddy song
After the trade was announced, Brown took to social media to celebrate, but did so in a wildly cringeworthy fashion as he shared an AI-made photo of himself as a kid in a Patriots jersey alongside a Diddy song. Diddy, real name Sean Combs, is currently in prison serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Nike started making NFL jerseys in 2012…
Either A.J. Brown looked surprisingly small at 15-years old or this picture is edited. 😂 pic.twitter.com/0EApdIcyMt

AJ Brown posted a ‘childhood’ photo in a Patriots jersey for his big homecoming moment.
One problem: Nike didn’t make NFL jerseys until 2012—when AJ was already 15.
So either he was tiny at 15… or that photo’s edited. 👀 pic.twitter.com/UxFGMtmROW

“Look at the jersey lol. When did any brand make a jersey that looked like that? Fraudin for the Gram is crazy work,” one NFL fan said.
“Hated Hurts so much he edited a patriots jersey onto a baby picture of himself with ai in preparation for when he got traded,” a second added.
“This may legitimately be the corniest thing I’ve seen in all my days as a sports fan,” a third wondered.
“AJ Brown top 5 funniest MFs in the league,” a fourth concluded.
