There are few things more horrifying to Auburn Tigers fans than the idea of seeing Bo Jackson in an Alabama Crimson Tide uniform.

The reality, however, is that may not be all that far off. But there’s a catch.

Alabama extended a scholarship offer to star running back Bo Jackson on Monday night. No, not that Bo Jackson. This Bo Jackson.

Meet Bo Jackson.

Bo is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound running back for Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland Ohio. He’s one of the best high school running backs in the nation in the class of 2025 and the 102nd-ranked player overall according to 247Sports.

Much like the Bo Jackson, this Bo Jackson isn’t actually named Bo. His first name is Lamar. But he’s more than lived up to the nickname.

Jackson boasts several offers, though he’s yet to receive from his namesake’s Auburn Tigers. In fact, it’s the home state Ohio State Buckeyes that appear to be most in the mix for his services.

“It was like a dream come true,” Jackson said after receiving an Ohio State offer last year. “You grow up watching them all the time, then their facilities and everything, coaches are really good. Of course, the players are great.”

Oh, and did we mention he plays baseball too?

“He’s probably one of the most talented baseball players I’ve ever had in my career coaching,” his high school baseball coach Dennis Woods said. “The game comes easy for him. He hadn’t swung a bat in three weeks, so in the tournament game the other day he walked, he struck out and he hit a double over the center fielder’s head.

“He’s only a sophomore. I really think, and the coaches and I talk about it, he’s talented enough, he’s strong, he’s big, he has all the tools to play at the next level in baseball, believe it or not. I’ve been coaching 56 years, so I’ve seen a lot of players. He is very talented.”

Jackson is also a star track athlete.

But hey, what’s in a name?
