The Alabama basketball team is practicing at Grand Canyon University ahead of a Final Four meeting with UCONN. The same Grand Canyon school the Tide took down earlier in the NCAA Tournament.

Rubbing salt in the proverbial wound, Alabama has taken over the Antelopes’ facilities after ending their season. Brutal!

The Crimson Tide have spent the entire Big Dance on the West Coast, seeing matchups in Spokane, Los Angeles, and now, Glendale. While on the road, they must find nearby gyms to hold practice.

In this latest instance, the locale couldn’t have been much worse for the hosts!

Alabama beat Grand Canyon in the Round of 32, effectively sending the Lopes packing for the offseason. They probably didn’t expect to see their nemesis again just two weeks later.

But that’s how things have unfolded.

The Alabama social media team posted a series of photos of Final Four practice as the Crimson Tide prep for a matchup with top-seeded Connecticut – and that GCU logo is easily visible a midcourt.

Location aside, the Tide have a tall task ahead of them.

UCONN has continued its March Madness dominance following last year’s national championship, dispatching each of their first four NCAA Tournament foes by an average of 28 points. Utter dominance!

Alabama, meanwhile, has been tested, winning their two games last weekend against UNC and Clemson by a combined nine points.

Can the Crimson Tide find a way to keep things close with the Huskies on Saturday and pull off the upset? These practice sessions just might help, and they’ll have Grand Canyon to thank if so!
