They may have been the best team in the country for much of the year, but the Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team has also become the villains of this season, following a murder allegedly committed by then-player Darius Miles, and the alleged involvement of star freshman Brandon Miller. Coach Nate Oats famously took a lot of crap for suggesting that Miller was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Still, the entered the NCAA tournament as the top overall seed in the tournament, and looked to do some serious damage. They rolled through their first two games, beating Texas A&M Corpus Christi 96-75 and Maryland 73-51.

But, on Friday night, a terrible shooting night did them against the San Diego State Aztecs as they lost, 71-64, in the South Regional Semifinals in Louisville.

And, the nation is rejoicing that the Crimson Tide lost. There are so many good tweets and memes.

And, Brandon Miller was terrible. He scored 9 points and had 11 rebounds, but he was a horrifying 3-19 from the field, the worst performance of his career.

And, lastly, rival Auburn, not the best moral compass themselves after they hired Hugh Freeze to coach the football team, got the last word.
