Country Music legend Alan Jackson has been living the good life for decades. Heck, he’s already been in the Country Music Hall of Fame for 6 years.
Nobody has ever accused Alan Jackson of not being genuine. He walks the walk. One of his more relatively recents hits with Jimmy Buffett, ‘It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere’, which is a song that’s only 20 years old, has been an anthem for boaters for the past 20 years.
Alan Jackson has a new place to pour hurricane (cocktails) on his way to Jamaica or on fishing trips with his friends and family after taking ownership of a new 67′ Merritt sport fishing yacht.
If you’re not familiar with boat names, Merritt is one of the best sport fishing yacht makers the industry has ever seen and they’ve been making the best boats on the water in Florida since 1948. According to Whiskey Riff, Alan Jackson’s new 67′ Merritt yacht named ‘Hullbilly’ came with an $8.2 million price tag.

Alan Jackson previously owned (and may still own) a 75′ Merritt Sport Fishing yacht with a top speed of 57 mph. His old Merritt was also named ‘Hullbilly’ which leads me to believe he’s moved on from that boat because the new one isn’t named ‘Hullbilly II’.
Whiskey Riff also points out there’s a charter fishing company in The Bahamas where ‘Hullbilly’ is available for chartering but it’s unclear if Alan Jackson was doing that when his boat wasn’t in use or if that vessel is still available for fishing charters.

For anyone wondering, Alan Jackson’s estimated net worth is around $150 million. He came of age at a time when Country Music was all about album sales. And Alan Jackson is one of the best-selling artists in Country Music history.
Alan is also credited with pioneering the genre of ‘neotraditional country’ which bridged the gap of yesteryear with modern country, or at least ‘modern’ as it was a decade or tow ago.
